As a , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding complex engineering projects from inception to completion. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. What you'll do
- Lead and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, while effectively communicating these plans to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of project deliverables and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and performance, utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Facilitate regular project meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss progress, address challenges, and share updates on project milestones.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are tracked and controlled, and that financial reports are accurate and timely.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, promoting collaboration and open communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans and proactively addressing potential issues before they escalate.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices throughout all phases of the project.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, providing support and sharing knowledge to enhance their professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management processes, leveraging lessons learned to enhance future project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the engineering or construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying solutions and driving results.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles, with experience in managing project budgets.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and green building standards.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the engineering and construction sectors.
- Previous experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment.
