This role is responsible for backend reliability and performance within the trading infrastructure. You will build and maintain services in Rust while using Python for automation and tooling. The position focuses on event-driven design and low-latency execution. Your work will directly support trading activities for a global user base.

What you'll do
Design event-driven pipelines that ingest market data and enable rapid, dependable transactions across assets.
Orchestrate internal tools in Python to streamline data flows and connect services across distributed environments.
Refactor core routing logic in Rust to lower latency and increase throughput for critical trading paths.
Collaborate with product and data teams to define schemas and interfaces that keep APIs stable and clear.
Champion testing and observability, creating diagnostics that expose risk and performance before users notice.
Partner with security engineers to harden services, validate inputs, and uphold standards for financial compliance.
Guide operational runbooks that keep systems online, coordinating responses when trading volumes spike.
Mentor engineers by sharing patterns that make asynchronous code dependable and maintainable over time.
Requirements
You hold 4+ years building backend systems that reach production scale.
You write fluent Rust and use Python to script integrations and services.
You design distributed, event-driven solutions that handle concurrency and partial failure.
You work with REST, websockets, databases, and messaging layers such as Kafka or ZeroMQ.
Nice to have
Experience with trading, markets, or crypto financial systems.

Who you are

You write fluent Rust and use Python to script integrations and services.

You are familiar with REST APIs, websockets, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and messaging systems such as Kafka or ZeroMQ.
You have 4+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems.
