Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Build and Pipeline Programmer to join our team in Montreal. This role is integral to maintaining the momentum of our interactive entertainment projects. You will manage the complete lifecycle of game production, from initial data intake to the final delivery to players. Success in this position requires a dedication to optimizing production pipelines and enhancing development tools. Your work will ensure that our build processes are robust, efficient, and supportive of creative excellence across PC, console, and mobile platforms.
Core Responsibilities
Your daily contributions will focus on designing and maintaining the foundational systems that power our development pipeline. You will orchestrate intake procedures to verify data accuracy before any build work commences. A key part of your duty involves designing sturdy architecture that supports both editor tools and runtime applications. You will implement automation within the build process to minimize manual steps and accelerate iteration cycles.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will guide artists and designers on the practical use of tools within the production environment. You will also coordinate closely with internal partners to ensure technical solutions align perfectly with creative goals. Evaluating performance metrics will be a regular task, allowing you to identify bottlenecks and improve system responsiveness. A critical output of your work will be preparing stable candidate versions for testing and meticulously documenting all changes for future reference. Finally, you will ship updates with clear verification steps that uphold project stability and schedule.
Professional Qualifications
To excel in this position, you must bring a specific set of professional experiences and technical competencies. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in similar roles is required. You must possess proven capability working with major gaming platforms and their specific toolchains. A strong understanding of version control workflows and branching strategies is non-negotiable.
You must have solid experience in debugging, profiling, and resolving intricate technical problems. This role demands a high level of professionalism, particularly in communication. Excellent written and verbal English is necessary for clear collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Compensation
The compensation package for this role ranges from 70,000 GBP to 90,000 GBP. This reflects the responsibility and impact of the position within our global organization.
