What you'll do

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.
• Serve as the Engineer of Record, providing technical oversight and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Conduct thorough site investigations and assessments to evaluate soil and rock properties, groundwater conditions, and other geotechnical factors.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and earth retention systems.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Nevada or the ability to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound engineering decisions based on data and experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations governing geotechnical engineering practices.
