What you'll do

• Execute all maintenance and repair tasks for the hotel property, outside grounds, and hotel equipment as posted for
• Order parts and manage inventory to guarantee that repairs proceed without interruption or delay due to missing materials.
• Inspect and monitor mechanical and structural systems between guest visits to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines on assets to extend their lifespan and align with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Handle outdoor areas and equipment to keep grounds safe, functional, and visually presentable at all times.
• Diagnose complex problems from initial report through final completion, applying technical knowledge and critical thinking.
• Shift between different mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to maintain steady service during peak demand periods.
• Document every task in detail to create a clear, auditable record for future maintenance planning and compliance reviews.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities across departments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
• Utilize handheld devices and desktop reporting tools to input data accurately and maintain up-to-date work records.
• Accept varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as requested, to ensure continuous coverage and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Hold current certification for handling refrigerants used in cooling equipment, as this is mandatory for this role.
• Successfully pass background checks and drug screening as required by company policy and local regulations.
• Secure reliable personal transportation to commute consistently to Holiday Inn Gaithersburg in Maryland.
• Demonstrate the physical ability to work extended periods standing, lifting heavy items, and moving through corridors with agility.
• Show adaptability to shifting demands across departments while always upholding safety protocols and operational standards.
• Perform all tasks with precision using technological tools such as handheld devices and desktop reporting systems.
• Willingly accept varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as requested, to meet the needs of the property.
