Founding Growth Marketing Manager
Job description
Founding Growth Marketing Manager at Basis Ai.
About the role
Basis is building real agents that do real work in the real economy, and this role owns the one-to-many engine that brings in-house finance teams into that reality. You will discover and own the channels, messages, offers, and conversion paths that turn our market presence into efficient, qualified pipeline. Programmatic growth across paid search, paid social, lifecycle, the website, influencers, and new channels will be your core domain, with hands-on depth in campaign structure, bidding, creative testing, and budget allocation. You will build feedback loops that let ad platforms learn from qualified opportunities and closed-won deals, treating channels as a system to build and improve rather than a budget to spend. Close collaboration with Head of Content, PMM, Marketing Ops, Sales, and Design ensures narratives, assets, and distribution work in concert to move sophisticated buyers. You will obsess over performance numbers, explaining exactly how they changed and connecting every program directly to pipeline and revenue. This is a high-ownership role for a marketer who is equally comfortable inside an ad account and deciding which channel deserves the next dollar.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and execute programmatic growth across paid search, paid social, lifecycle marketing, the website, influencers, and experimental channels to reach in-house finance buyers at scale.
- Own the full conversion system from click to opportunity, tightening feedback loops between ad platforms, website behavior, and CRM outcomes so channels optimize toward qualified deals and revenue.
- Build and iterate channel playbooks that include campaign structure, bidding strategies, creative testing, landing page optimization, and budget allocation for maximum pipeline efficiency.
- Partner with PMM and Content to translate narrative and assets into distribution engines, then own the conversion paths that turn those materials into qualified pipeline.
- Apply scrappy builder instincts by setting up tools, automating workflows, shipping campaigns quickly, and finding partners who accelerate execution without sacrificing rigor.
- Leverage AI, Clay, CRM workflows, and lean stacks to create leverage, reducing reliance on headcount while increasing the team's overall impact.
- Develop deep performance numbers and connect every growth program to pipeline creation and revenue, explaining changes and decisions with clarity to stakeholders.
- Test new and unconventional surfaces such as SEO, AEO, influencers, video, connected TV, and emerging ad platforms, then iterate based on evidence and economics.
- Establish design partnerships and operating models that enable high-quality asset production at speed, aligning creative execution with growth objectives.
- Maintain rigorous discipline in paid performance by defining clear revenue feedback loops, testing cadences, and kill or scale decisions based on measurable outcomes.
Requirements
- 5-8 years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or paid acquisition, ideally within high-growth software, AI, fintech, or technical product companies.
- A track record of paid search and paid social programs that improved qualified pipeline, CAC, payback, or LTV to CAC across multiple campaigns.
- Command of your performance numbers and the ability to explain what changed, why it changed, and which decision followed, using data as the primary narrative.
- Hands-on depth in campaign structure, bidding, creative testing, landing page optimization, and budget allocation to drive efficient acquisition.
- Experience wiring ad platforms, website behavior, and CRM outcomes together so channels consistently optimize toward qualified opportunities and revenue.
- A habit of creating leverage through AI, automation, Clay, CRM workflows, and agencies instead of adding headcount, enabling scalable growth.
- Technical aptitude and curiosity that lets you learn complex products quickly and market credibly to sophisticated buyers in finance and accounting.
- Comfort with messy starting points and high-ownership environments where you define priorities, manage ambiguity, and ship programs under tight timelines.
Nice to have
- Performance depth shown through improved CAC, payback, LTV to CAC, pipeline efficiency, or revenue from a paid channel over time.
- Evidence of scrappy leverage, such as a system or operating model that helped a smaller team produce more and improve results.
- Demonstrated range in paid social, especially making Meta, LinkedIn, or other platforms work through strong creative, clean feedback loops, and disciplined iteration.
- Experience running one-to-many campaigns that reached broad buyer sets without flattening differences between industries, use cases, or intent levels.
- Clear examples of channel judgment, including when to scale a channel, fix it, or stop spending because the economics did not work.
- Prior experience testing SEO and AEO, influencers, video, connected TV, or other unconventional growth surfaces.
- A trusted design partnership, agency, or creative operating model that enabled fast production of high-quality assets.
