Field Marketing Manager
Job description
Field Marketing Manager at Basis Ai.
About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Basis' field marketing and events program from concept to post-event analysis. You will design and run a portfolio of events that includes customer community sessions, multi-city roadshows, large-scale trade shows with 2,000+ attendees, and intimate executive dinners. Each event will have clear business objectives, tailored content, and measurable outcomes tied to pipeline and revenue. You will translate the vision of leadership into repeatable playbooks that scale efficiently over time. You will act as the primary field voice for Basis, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality experiences across every touchpoint. You will collaborate tightly with sales, product, and leadership to align event strategy with go-to-market priorities and revenue goals. You will leverage data to continuously optimize event mix, messaging, and spend for maximum impact.
Key facts
What you'll do
Plan and execute a minimum of 40 field events annually, spanning customer communities, roadshows, trade shows, and executive dinners.
Own the end-to-end event lifecycle, from initial concept and goal setting through execution and post-event measurement.
Define and manage event budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Design pre-show outreach and messaging frameworks that align sales and leadership objectives with attendee expectations.
Create tailored on-site programs and engagement tactics that drive meaningful interactions and high-quality attendee participation.
Develop post-event follow-up sequences and nurture workflows that convert booth traffic and event engagement into qualified pipeline.
Build and maintain event processes and documentation that enable the team to scale operations without proportional headcount growth.
Partner with sales to identify target accounts, prioritize shows, and orchestrate coordinated outreach before, during, and after events.
Implement measurement frameworks that tie event activity directly to pipeline creation and revenue outcomes.
Continuously test and iterate on event formats, channels, and experiences based on performance data and stakeholder feedback.
Requirements
You must have 3 or more years of owning B2B events end-to-end, including conferences, trade shows, executive experiences, and customer community initiatives.
You must be comfortable traveling 15 to 25 percent of the time to attend a handful of major in-person conferences while primarily operating from the New York office.
You must be prepared to work in person five days a week in our Flatiron office when not traveling for events.
You must demonstrate a brand instinct with a strong eye for how Basis shows up in every room, from signage and swag to booth design and team presence.
You must possess ruthless organizational skills to manage a high volume of events simultaneously across owned and third-party programs without losing critical details.
You must be data-driven, with a track record of measuring event performance through to pipeline and using that data to decide where to show up and when to double down.
You must have experience supporting enterprise sales teams through high-touch event moments such as executive dinners, partner programs, and on-site meetings at major conferences.
You must be proficient in event management platforms and CRM systems, with an eagerness to use AI to make the events function more efficient.
Nice to have
Experience in the accounting industry, including familiarity with the profession, industry associations like AICPA and state societies, and buyer personas across CPA firms.
Practical notes
This role requires a consistent in-office presence in New York, with travel reserved for key industry conferences and strategic engagements.
Travel expectations are capped at 15-25 percent, balancing local execution with selective in-person presence at major events.
The position operates under full-time employment terms and follows the standard working hours and policies defined by the company.
