About the role
You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for Basis's channel partnerships with enterprise CPA firms, acting as the primary commercial link between our product and the accounting ecosystem. You will lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of a portfolio of CPA firms, positioning them as co-sellers, resellers, and implementation partners for Basis. This role requires you to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes within large professional services organizations and convert strategic alignment into signed commercial agreements. You will build and maintain a robust Channel-influenced pipeline that directly contributes to revenue targets and reinforces Basis's market position. As one of the first Channel hires, you will define the playbook for partner enablement, demonstrating how Basis's agents create measurable value for CPA firms and their clients. You will serve as Basis's visible representative at industry conferences, firm-hosted events, and accounting forums, shaping the narrative around the future of AI in accounting.

What you'll do
- Build firm partnerships by leading discovery and commercial conversations with target enterprise CPA firms from initial outreach through to signed agreements.
- Develop co-selling motions that expand Basis's distribution, equipping partner sales teams with the tools and narratives needed to generate referrals and drive influenced deals.
- Build firm-level strategy by tailoring commercial arrangements to each firm's AI positioning, strategic goals, and implementation motions, navigating complex buying processes with agility.
- Grow Channel-influenced pipeline in collaboration with Sales, Implementation, and Marketing to execute against revenue targets and forecast accuracy.
- Represent Basis externally at conferences, firm-hosted events, and industry forums, articulating a clear point of view on the evolution of the accounting landscape.
- Enable partner teams through training, playbooks, and deal support, ensuring they have the confidence and materials to sell Basis effectively.
- Orchestrate joint customer visits and proof-of-concept initiatives that showcase the end-to-end capabilities of Basis agents within CPA environments.
- Track and report on Channel performance metrics, identifying optimization opportunities and sharing insights to refine partner strategies.
- Establish and maintain trust with Managing Partners and Practice Leaders, accelerating deal velocity through credibility and consistent follow-through.
- Act as a strategic advisor to partners, helping them align Basis deployments with client transformation roadmaps and regulatory realities.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Channel Sales, or Business Development, with a track record for closing complex, multi-stakeholder, partnership deals.
- Experience selling into or partnering with Professional Services firms, large CPA firms, SIs, or Managed Services providers.
- Ability to work in office in Manhattan 5 days per week.
- Demonstrated success managing end-to-end sales cycles that involve C-suite and Partner-level executive stakeholders.
- A history of building and maintaining long-term relationships in the accounting or professional services ecosystem.
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments while maintaining rigorous execution standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for senior audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Implementation teams to achieve shared objectives.
Nice to have
- Relationships within the enterprise CPA firm ecosystem (Big Four, top 25 firms) or similar professional services networks.
- Background in accounting, fintech, or Professional Services software.
- Demonstrated comfort running strategic deal cycles with C-suite and Partner-level executives at large organizations.
