About the role
You will own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for key clients in the APAC power markets sector, driving growth and deepening strategic partnerships. You will leverage deep market insights to position Baringa's analytics and advisory solutions as mission-critical tools for energy leaders. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex data and modelling capabilities into clear business value for decision-makers. You will collaborate tightly with product, delivery, and marketing teams to refine messaging and ensure seamless client onboarding. You will monitor competitor activity and market shifts to proactively adjust sales strategies and protect market share. You will represent Baringa at industry forums and client meetings, reinforcing the firm's reputation for quality and insight. You will own profit-related metrics including pipeline health, conversion rates, and client retention within your portfolio. You will mentor junior team members on commercial best practice and client engagement standards.

What you'll do
Translate complex energy market data and analytical outputs into compelling commercial narratives for C-suite audiences in APAC.
Own the full sales cycle, from initial opportunity identification through solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
Develop and maintain deep expertise in APAC power markets, including regulatory dynamics, price formation, and technology trends.
Build and track a robust pipeline of opportunities, forecasting demand and managing conversion rates across advisory and product lines.
Partner with product managers to refine Baringa's SaaS offerings and data products based on real-world client feedback and market intelligence.
Lead high-value client workshops and discovery sessions to uncover strategic priorities and align solutions to measurable outcomes.
Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, and ongoing value realisation for new clients.
Collaborate with marketing to design targeted content and thought leadership that differentiates Baringa in crowded market environments.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing client accounts, expanding footprint across business units and geographies.
Report performance metrics, market signals, and competitor activity to inform leadership decisions and product investment priorities.
Contribute to the development of sales playbooks, battle cards, and commercial frameworks that scale across the APAC region.
Act as a client advocate, elevating feedback into product and service improvements that strengthen long-term relationships.
Support the definition and testing of new market entry strategies and pricing models for energy insights products.
Champion data-driven decision making, using CRM and analytics tools to prioritise activities and maximise productivity.
Requirements
You possess a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as economics, engineering, finance, or data science.
You have a minimum of five years' progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management within APAC.
You have a proven track record of selling complex data, analytics, or advisory services to enterprise clients in regulated industries.
You demonstrate strong commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial models, price sensitivity, and value-based selling.
You are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, regulators, and technical specialists.
You have experience working with energy, utilities, or infrastructure markets, understanding key drivers such as merit order, network constraints, and regulatory change.
You show a history of meeting or exceeding challenging sales targets in a competitive, matrixed environment.
You communicate with precision and influence, both in written form and in high-stakes verbal discussions.
You are proficient in using CRM systems to manage opportunities, track progress, and maintain accurate forecasting.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to operate effectively in multicultural settings across APAC.
Nice to have
Experience selling SaaS or data-led solutions to energy sector clients.
Knowledge of energy trading, risk, or portfolio management software and workflows.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NEM, FERC, or APERC relevant to power markets.
Experience with advanced data visualisation or analytics platforms used in trading and pricing analysis.
Understanding of client-side procurement processes and stakeholder mapping in large enterprises.
Practical notes
This role is based in Singapore and requires occasional travel within the APAC region.
There may be limited travel outside standard working hours to accommodate client time zones.
Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
The position is offered on an ongoing basis subject to successful completion of background checks.
