Principal Product Marketing Manager
Job description
About the role
You will own the core narrative, use cases, and enablement assets that win and grow our largest accounts at Assured. This role is for a founding Principal Product Marketing Manager who functions as a senior individual contributor shaping the strategic story of our product portfolio. You will craft and tell the story through decks, one-pagers, battlecards, demos, and use-case maps for the best insurance carriers in the United States. You will navigate the tension between building new capabilities and proving the value of existing solutions to ensure market clarity. This position requires you to act as the primary voice translating complex product capabilities into clear business outcomes for enterprise decision-makers. You will be responsible for ensuring that the messaging resonates across both land-and-expand motions in a highly regulated industry.
Key facts
What you'll do
Create the "Buy vs. Build" narrative and validate it through live testing in carrier meetings to refine messaging against real-world objections.
Develop the objection library and vertical battlecards that equip sales teams to handle competitive pressure from internal AI builds and incumbent systems.
Map value penetration across the customer journey to identify where Assured can expand product adoption within existing logos.
Serve as the primary demo expert ensuring that every use case is communicated with precision and consistency to prospects and clients.
Own the expansion playbook that defines account growth strategies and guides sales efforts for deeper process penetration.
Conduct active listen tours with Sales and Client Engagement to ground the narrative in the realities of current deals and market feedback.
Participate in high-stakes conversations beyond standard demos to pressure-test messaging with C-level stakeholders inside insurance carriers.
Collaborate with engineering and integrated marketing to ensure that messaging, objections, and account context are embedded into workflows and intelligence systems.
Translate technical product capabilities into clear buyer-facing value propositions that address the specific needs of regulated insurance environments.
Maintain a bias for action by rapidly iterating on materials based on field feedback and performance data to keep the sales team fully equipped.
Champion best practices in product marketing by documenting learnings and codifying successful playbooks for future scaling.
Act as a maker and craftsperson who writes exceptionally, thinks rigorously, and ensures assets are delivered quickly without sacrificing quality.
Partner cross-functionally to align messaging with product releases, sales training, and customer success initiatives.
Ensure all materials comply with industry regulations while still being persuasive and easy for stakeholders to understand.
