Senior Copywriter, AI & Category Narrative
Job description
About the role
You will be the authoritative voice of AI and category narrative for Assured, owning the creation of all written content that explains how agentic AI and large language models transform claims processing for the world's largest property and casualty carriers. You will translate complex machine learning workflows and frontier model capabilities into clear, credible, and compelling narratives that resonate with skeptical, senior insurance executives and technical evaluators. This role demands a writer who can operate at the intersection of deep technical understanding and regulated B2B marketing, ensuring every sentence reinforces trust and accuracy. You will craft the stories that define how the market perceives AI-driven claims automation, turning abstract technology into concrete business outcomes. You will work hand-in-hand with the Content Strategist and leadership to ensure that every piece of content aligns with Assured's mission to modernize insurance through software. Ultimately, your words will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI and the day-to-day reality of claims work, making advanced technology feel accessible, reliable, and essential to the future of the industry.

What you'll do
Write authoritatively about frontier AI, models, and LLM-powered systems for enterprise audiences, producing copy that satisfies technical readers such as CIOs and CAIOs while landing clearly with claims executives.
Carry the category narrative for Assured's frontier AI in claims, developing thought leadership, bylines, explainers, and long-form content that positions the company as the definitive voice in AI-driven insurance.
Produce web and landing copy, product and feature narratives, social posts, newsletters, and sales-supporting content in a single, consistent, and credible voice that reflects deep subject-matter expertise.
Ghostwrite the point of view for the CEO and founder, drafting opinion pieces, blog posts, talks, and interview content that establish Justin as a leading voice in insurance AI.
Collaborate closely with product and product marketing teams to deeply understand complex capabilities and translate them into language that is precise, vivid, and free of hype or exaggeration.
Complement the Content Strategist by taking strategy and calendar inputs and converting them into high-quality, publish-ready copy that executes the plan end to end from brief to final draft.
Own the production of a steady stream of blog posts and articles that articulate Assured's AI point of view, driving search visibility, audience engagement, and organic authority in the emerging category of AI for claims.
Set and maintain a high editorial standard for accuracy, clarity, tone, and voice across all written materials, ensuring every piece meets rigorous quality benchmarks before publication.
Write inside carrier anti-bribery and compliance norms, adhering to insurance regulatory expectations and substantiation requirements so that all content can pass internal and external review without friction.
Serve as the hands-on maker of written content for AI and category narrative, directly responsible for the clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance of all copy that represents Assured to the market.
Requirements
Bring 5-8+ years of experience as a copywriter or content writer at a senior individual contributor level, with a portfolio of published work you authored yourself.
Demonstrate genuine subject-matter command of AI, including agentic AI, frontier models, and LLMs for enterprise, with writing that technical readers respect and find credible.
Have a documented track record of writing for B2B, enterprise, or technical audiences, consistently making complex capability clear, persuasive, and actionable for decision-makers.
Show exceptional writing range, moving seamlessly between thought leadership and long-form narratives as well as crisp web, product, and social copy in one coherent voice.
Be comfortable diving deep with product and engineering teams to learn hard technical subjects quickly and distill them into accurate, accessible language without resorting to hype.
Be an individual maker who prefers to write rather than manage a team or run an agency, thriving in hands-on creation roles with high ownership.
Be based on the U.S. West Coast, aligning with the company's operational and collaboration preferences for remote and regional talent.
Possess background in insurance, fintech, or another regulated or enterprise domain; if this does not yet apply, show genuine enthusiasm to learn the claims world rapidly and thoroughly.
Have experience writing within an early-stage or high-growth environment where priorities evolve quickly and clarity of communication is critical to alignment.
