About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead AI Studio, Asana's AI workflow builder, in San Francisco. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for an AI product that powers millions of workflows for large enterprise organizations. You will translate customer needs and market opportunities into a compelling roadmap while working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, and Data Science teams. The position focuses on building, governing, and deploying AI at scale across organizations through system-critical automated workflows. You will be responsible for defining metrics that connect product usage to revenue and ensuring the reliability and performance required for enterprise trust.

What you'll do
Define and own the end-to-end product vision and prioritized roadmap for AI Studio to ensure alignment with customer impact and business outcomes.
Drive consumption-based business outcomes by owning forecasting, reporting, and ROI analysis for an AI product that operates on a usage-based billing model.
Scale AI Studio to reliably support millions of workflows while maintaining the quality, performance, and dependability required for enterprise system-critical processes.
Ship automation capabilities that enable enterprise teams to deploy AI workflows across their organizations, from single-team use cases to processes spanning thousands of users.
Build for enterprise trust by shaping AI governance, administrative controls, and change management features so customers can roll out AI confidently and safely at scale.
Collaborate directly with large enterprise customers to understand complex workflow management challenges and translate those insights into the product roadmap.
Partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams to turn ambiguous problems into shipped, high-impact product solutions.
Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to continuously refine the user experience and drive adoption across enterprise organizations.
Evaluate and integrate emerging AI capabilities, including prompt engineering, agentic workflows, tool use, and model evaluations, to maintain a competitive edge.
Champion the product internally and externally, ensuring alignment between technical constraints, business goals, and customer expectations.
Requirements
6+ years of product management experience, with a focus on AI, automation, workflow, or enterprise platform products.
Fluent in automation concepts, including workflow builders, rules engines, orchestration, triggers and actions, and integrations, with an understanding of how customers compose them into scaled, dependable processes.
Enterprise experience partnering with large customers managing workflows for thousands of users, including navigating AI governance, change management, and system-critical processes.
Proven track record of owning business outcomes for a product, including revenue or consumption metrics, reporting, and ROI analysis to drive prioritization and communicate impact to leadership.
Hands-on experience with modern AI tools, including building with LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, tool use, and evaluations, with the ability to reason about model behavior and trade-offs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners, enterprise customers, and leadership.
Experience with consumption/usage-based billing products, AI evaluation systems, or enterprise AI deployments is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Strong analytical mindset with experience translating complex data into actionable product decisions and clear narratives for stakeholders.
Nice to have
Experience with enterprise sales cycles and stakeholder management in large organizations.
Background in compliance, security, or privacy frameworks relevant to enterprise AI deployments.
Familiarity with open-source AI models and deployment strategies for on-premises or hybrid environments.
Knowledge of industry-specific workflow patterns in sectors such as finance, operations, or customer support.
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks for AI products.
Practical notes
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.
