What you'll do
- Oversee the complete design process for features and products within the Asana ecosystem, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish strategic direction, pinpoint user requirements, and deliver effective solutions.
- Uphold exceptional standards for interaction and interface design while actively contributing to the overarching design system.
- Guarantee design uniformity and scalability throughout the entire platform to enhance user experience.
- Drive human-centered problem-solving initiatives and foster a culture of co-creation among team members.
- Investigate innovative approaches to boost user efficiency, engagement, and overall workflow.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions and improve product functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure that design specifications are met during the development process.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Present design ideas and concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback to refine and enhance designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product design to continually elevate the quality of your work.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team through knowledge sharing and guidance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, demonstrating a strong background in creating user-centric solutions.
- A robust portfolio showcasing your expertise in interaction and interface design, highlighting successful projects.
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end features at scale, supported by research and data-driven insights.
- Experience in designing for various platforms, including web, desktop, and native mobile applications.
- Strong aptitude for iterative problem-solving and conceptual development, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to distill research findings into clear problem statements and articulate user needs effectively.
Nice to have
- A genuine curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a desire to explore their applications in decision-making and collaboration.
- Familiarity with design systems and the ability to contribute to their evolution and maintenance.
