Bamboohr is seeking a highly experienced professional to fill the position of Sr. Director/Executive Director in Medical Affairs, specifically focusing on Medical Communications and Publications. What you'll do
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of medical communications initiatives to support product development and lifecycle management.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations for conferences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams, to align messaging and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and external stakeholders to enhance the visibility and credibility of Bamboohr's scientific contributions.
- Manage a team of medical writers and communication specialists, providing guidance and mentorship to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality output.
- Establish and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and publications, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure that all communications adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity.
- Represent Bamboohr at scientific conferences and meetings, presenting data and engaging with the scientific community to promote our research and therapeutic approaches.
- Drive the development of training materials and resources for internal stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of our products and their clinical implications.
- Act as a primary point of contact for medical inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to develop promotional materials that are scientifically accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging research, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and enhance communication efforts.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine) is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in medical affairs, medical communications, or a related field within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing medical communications and publications, with a strong portfolio of published works.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to medical communications and publications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in utilizing metrics to assess the impact of communication strategies.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for communication and publication management.
