Arctiq is seeking an experienced IAM Architect to join our team on a remote contract basis. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing identity and access management strategies that align with our clients' security and operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IAM frameworks, technologies, and best practices, ensuring that our solutions are robust, scalable, and secure. As an IAM Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy IAM solutions that enhance security while facilitating seamless user experiences.

What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive identity and access management solutions tailored to meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing IAM systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for IAM projects.
- Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Lead the integration of IAM solutions with existing IT infrastructure, including cloud services, on-premises systems, and third-party applications.
- Provide expert guidance on IAM technologies, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- Monitor and analyze IAM system performance, making recommendations for enhancements and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the IAM landscape, ensuring that Arctiq remains at the forefront of security innovation.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the IAM practice.
- Collaborate with security teams to assess risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential threats related to identity and access management.
- Engage with clients to provide training and support on IAM solutions, ensuring they understand the capabilities and benefits of the systems in place.
- Participate in project planning and management activities, ensuring that IAM initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management, with a focus on architecture and design.
- Proven expertise in IAM technologies and frameworks, such as Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, or ForgeRock.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and standards, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions and integrations, particularly in AWS or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements related to IAM, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically about IAM challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications in IAM, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, particularly in relation to IAM automation and orchestration.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in the IAM space, such as artificial intelligence or machine learning applications for identity management.
- Previous experience in a consulting role, working with diverse clients across various industries.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in IAM tools and technologies, including identity governance, access management, and directory services.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or PowerShell for automation and integration tasks.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools to monitor IAM-related activities.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts and practices, particularly as they relate to identity management.
