What you'll do
- Collaborate with the sales department throughout the entire deal lifecycle, providing support on structure and logic within Salesforce to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate global business contracts from an accounting perspective, identifying key terms and their implications for financial reporting and risk.
- Offer financial guidance regarding complex or non-standard agreements, working with commercial and legal teams to align on feasible solutions.
- Serve as a primary contact for revenue operations and business operations teams, responding to queries and facilitating timely decision-making.
- Maintain financial integrity and risk mitigation through transparent reporting, ensuring all data is traceable and audit-ready.
- Oversee revenue recognition policies in alignment with ASC 606 and US GAAP, applying judgment and consistency to various transaction types.
- Manage the evaluation of non-standard contract terms and coordinate with billing and collection departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at refining global revenue workflows, driving standardization and automation where possible.
- Deliver revenue accounting projects according to schedule and quality requirements, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Support the development and enhancement of revenue control frameworks, contributing to the ongoing improvement of policies and procedures.
- Partner with finance leadership to provide insights that influence commercial strategy, pricing, and packaging decisions.
- Ensure all revenue-related activities are documented and communicated clearly to internal stakeholders, promoting transparency and understanding.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of revenue recognition systems and tools, focusing on scalability and reliability.
- Act as an ambassador for best practices in revenue control, representing the finance function in internal and external discussions.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory for this role.
- Candidates must possess 2 to 4+ years of experience in revenue controlling or a related function within a global technology or SaaS organization.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms is required, along with hands-on experience in NetSuite for financial operations.
- A hands-on background in supporting sales teams with commercial negotiations and deal structuring is essential for success.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities are required, along with a process-oriented mindset to manage multiple workflows efficiently.
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory to ensure clear communication across global teams.
- Candidates must demonstrate a keen interest in applying AI tools and data automation to financial analysis and process optimization.
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team, maintaining professionalism and reliability in a remote-capable environment.
Nice to have
- Understanding of SaaS revenue models and ARR mechanics, including how they impact forecasting and reporting.
- Experience with revenue governance frameworks or ARR management, including the implementation of controls and best practices.
- Familiarity with AI tools for workflow automation, business decision support, and analytics to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
