What you'll do
- Conduct live product demonstrations for prospective and existing Appian customers regularly
- Configure Appian platform features and settings to match specific customer requirements
- Collaborate with sales representatives to prepare detailed technical proposals and presentations
- Provide hands-on guidance and support during customer pilot programs and evaluations
- Document technical workflows and solution architectures for internal review and reference
- Translate complex business challenges into effective Appian automation strategies and solutions
- Support the full sales cycle by conducting pre-sale technical assessments
- Gather customer feedback during engagements and relay key insights to product teams
- Deliver training sessions covering platform capabilities, best practices, and recommended workflows
- Troubleshoot integration issues and technical concerns that arise during customer engagements
- Maintain current knowledge of Appian product releases, updates, and new feature announcements
- Coordinate with engineering teams to escalate and resolve technical customer concerns
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related technical field required
- Experience with enterprise software demonstration and customer-facing technical presentations is required
- Strong understanding of business process automation concepts and enterprise workflow principles
- Ability to consistently work on a third shift schedule including evenings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse clients
- Familiarity with low-code development platforms and visual modeling environments is expected
- Comfort with traveling to customer sites and internal office locations periodically
- Demonstrated ability to translate detailed technical information into clear business language
- Prior experience in a solution engineering, consulting, or technical pre-sales role
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously without direct supervision
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Appian or similar low-code automation platforms is a plus
- Relevant technical certifications such as AWS, Azure, or Scrum Master credentials
- Background in consulting, professional services, or enterprise solution delivery environments
- Exposure to agile development methodologies and iterative software delivery practices
- Knowledge of REST APIs, database concepts, and cloud-based service architectures
- Experience presenting to technical and executive-level audiences in enterprise settings
- Familiarity with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL is beneficial
