What you'll do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their healthcare benefits, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze and interpret healthcare benefit plans to provide accurate information to clients and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to facilitate the enrollment process and manage any changes to client benefits.
- Conduct regular reviews of client benefit plans to identify opportunities for enhancements or cost savings.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, benefit plan changes, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of training materials for clients and internal staff on healthcare benefits.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that Ameripharma's offerings remain competitive and compliant.
- Work alongside the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing for healthcare services.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to the continuous improvement of benefit administration processes.
- Provide support during open enrollment periods, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
- Build strong relationships with clients to foster trust and encourage long-term partnerships.
- Utilize various software tools to track client interactions and manage benefit plan data efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare benefits administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and ERISA.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in benefit plan management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing client needs.
- Familiarity with healthcare management software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
