Chief of Staff, Care Transformation
Job description
About the role
You will serve as the central operating system for the Care Transformation organization, owning the structure that allows high-performing teams to function under extreme growth. This role is a hybrid of operational leadership and strategic enablement, sitting at the intersection of post-sale execution and go-to-market alignment. You will design and run the end-to-end operating cadence that keeps enterprise customers moving successfully from contract to realized value. You will translate the vision of the VP of Care Transformation into clear systems, measurable outcomes, and coordinated action across every function that touches the customer journey. You own the narrative that connects product capabilities, customer success, and commercial strategy into a single, coherent story for the enterprise. You will build the infrastructure of clarity so that leadership can see, at a glance, what is working, what is at risk, and where to intervene with precision. You are accountable for ensuring that the right work gets done, by the right people, at the right time, without relying on authority but on design and trust.
Key facts
What you'll do
- You will architect and run the end-to-end operating system for Care Transformation, defining meeting cadences, decision logs, and ownership structures that eliminate ambiguity.
- You will translate complex product and policy updates into precise, audience-specific communications that equip CSMs, CTEs, and support teams to act with confidence.
- You will construct and maintain the dashboards, trackers, and weekly briefs that provide CT leadership with real-time visibility into health, risk, and portfolio performance.
- You will own the end-to-end management of key enterprise accounts, ensuring that strategic initiatives move from discussion to documented action to measurable outcomes.
- You will partner with Marketing to ensure that every customer-facing campaign, content drop, and rollout is supported by the right enablement materials and training rhythms.
- You will manage the CT budget, headcount model, and planning forecasts, translating pipeline and engagement data into clear resource decisions.
- You will lead cross-functional alignment sessions between Sales, Product, Support, and Education to solve systemic issues that cut across teams.
- You will design and iterate on the CT OKR framework, tracking progress, surfacing blockers early, and ensuring that priorities are communicated with ruthless clarity.
- You will serve as the primary liaison between the post-sale organization and enterprise customers, ensuring that executive conversations are backed by precise data and operational follow-through.
- You will build and refine the documentation and playbooks that allow the team to scale without losing quality, consistency, or context.
- You will own the readiness of the CT organization for every major initiative, from product launches to customer advocacy programs, ensuring that people, process, and tools are aligned.
- You will identify and drive the improvement of core workflows, removing friction points that slow down the team and degrade the customer experience.
- You will coordinate with Biz Ops to maintain financial discipline, reporting, and forecasting across the Care Transformation portfolio.
- You will act as the calm, consistent voice of the CT organization, modeling the candor, positivity, and deep thought that defines the Ambience culture.
Requirements
- You bring 5-8 years of experience in roles that demanded both operating rigor and strategic impact, such as customer success operations, RevOps, enablement leadership, or healthcare technology operations.
- You have a track record of building critical functions from scratch in high-growth environments where systems were not provided and you had to create them yourself.
- You understand the nuances of health system sales cycles and the distinct dynamics of enterprise post-sale relationships across ambulatory, emergency, and inpatient settings.
- You are a strong written communicator who can craft crisp, audience-tailored briefs that preserve fidelity to complex information while meeting the needs of CSMs, CTEs, and support teams.
- You are operationally literate to the point of comfort, able to own dashboards, budget trackers, planning models, and meeting agendas with precision and reliability.
- You move work forward through clarity and trust, using influence without positional authority as your primary mode of leadership.
- You are low ego and high follow-through, sending recaps, tracking open items, closing loops, and performing the unglamorous infrastructure work that makes executive work possible.
- You thrive in ambiguity, comfortable writing the playbook while the game is in progress and iterating based on real-time feedback.
- You are comfortable working fully remotely within the United States, aligning your schedule with core collaboration hours and maintaining rigorous communication standards.
- You understand that the problems solved by Ambience directly impact clinician experience and health system performance, and you approach the work with the corresponding seriousness and dedication.
