Key facts
What you'll do
Utilize proprietary and partner systems to diagnose and resolve complex customer inquiries spanning account opening, funding, trading, fee billing, reporting, and account maintenance.
Sleuth defects and proactively shepherd issues to resolution in close partnership with product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport, demonstrating empathy, and driving advisor trust and long-term loyalty.
Become an expert in Altruist's product offering and end-to-end operational workflows.
Develop deeper expertise within one or more product or operational specializations, serving as a go-to resource for advisors and internal partners.
Apply advanced product and process knowledge to resolve more complex or nuanced advisor issues within your specialization.
Translate complex customer issues clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Tag data and feedback gathered through customer interactions to inform product roadmap prioritization and process improvement.
Help maintain and update response templates, internal documentation, and platform FAQs.
Adhere to all compliance and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align on solutions that enhance the advisor and client experience.
Conduct proactive quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in all support activities.
Monitor system performance and escalate critical issues to engineering with detailed diagnostic information.
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by sharing insights from customer interactions and emerging best practices.
Support the development of internal tools that streamline advisor workflows and reduce friction in daily operations.
Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Must reside in California and be able to work from our Los Angeles office three days per week.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Must have experience working with complex financial or technology systems and navigating ambiguous problem spaces.
Must be highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to ongoing learning in a rapidly evolving product landscape.
Must show resilience and persistence when addressing difficult or unresolved issues.
Must adhere strictly to compliance and regulatory standards in all interactions.
Nice to have
Experience working with wealth management, financial advisory, or FinTech platforms.
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) and ticketing systems.
Basic understanding of data tagging and analytics concepts.
Comfort with collaborative tools like Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace.
Practical notes
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in our Culver City office.
Compensation range is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.

Interviews will be conducted in Los Angeles and may include take-home exercises relevant to the role.
