Senior Product Designer
Job description
About the role
You will own the discovery process for our billing and payments suite, planning and running user research to validate design decisions that move the business. You will define what is worth researching by framing questions and choosing methods that keep a continuous discovery cadence running alongside delivery. You will synthesize findings into actionable design opportunities and help shape the product roadmap with them. You will build and maintain a shared research repository so insights compound over time and stay accessible across the team. You will design intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically consistent interfaces for web applications that serve SMBs. You will own design work from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation that reflects our brand. You will partner with engineers during implementation to maintain design quality and fidelity through handoff. You will collaborate with Product Managers to define scope, requirements, and success metrics for features so that outcomes are clear. You will present design concepts, research findings, and rationale to stakeholders with clarity and confidence to align everyone on the vision.
Key facts
What you'll do

- Translate complex financial workflows involving MSPs, service-based businesses, money movement, and AI-powered analytics into clear, structured design problems and opportunity statements.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative evidence into journey maps, experience flows, and artifacts that inform strategic product decisions for the financial operating system.
- Frame research plans and define success metrics in collaboration with Product Managers to ensure design work is tightly aligned with business and user goals.
- Build and evolve a shared research repository and design system components that keep insights and solutions accessible and reusable across teams.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web applications, ensuring accessibility, consistency, and clarity across complex B2B workflows.
- Partner with engineers in sprint planning, design reviews, and implementation to translate designs into working interfaces without losing fidelity.
- Define and own design tokens, patterns, and documentation so product interfaces remain consistent as the platform scales.
- Present research insights, design rationale, and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and product leaders.
- Explore and prototype AI-assisted workflows for analytics and payables automation, ensuring they integrate smoothly into existing user mental models.
- Contribute to product discovery playbooks and research methods that can be scaled as the organization grows globally.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and researchers across time zones to maintain alignment on priorities and quality.
- Identify moments of friction in payment flows and propose design interventions that improve conversion, trust, and operational efficiency.
- Advocate for users and translate their needs into clear requirements and guardrails that protect the integrity of the product experience.
- Iterate on designs based on test results and stakeholder feedback, balancing user needs with business constraints and technical feasibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role focused on digital products.
- Hands-on experience leading UX research end-to-end, from study design and recruiting to synthesis and sharing results with stakeholders.
- Fluency across qualitative and quantitative methods, with good judgment about which method a given problem actually calls for in complex B2B contexts.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to design complex workflows involving multiple systems and data flows.
- Proficiency with Figma or similar tools for design, prototyping, collaboration, and versioning in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of accessibility principles and best practices in design to ensure inclusive experiences for diverse users.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating research findings into actionable product decisions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, remote-first environment where ambiguity is common and decisions must be made with incomplete information.
- Experience working with payment products, fintech, or B2B SaaS platforms is strongly preferred due to the complexity of the domain.
- Familiarity with financial workflows, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes will help you design with deeper context.
- Exposure to AI-assisted tools and prototyping workflows is valued as the product team explores AI-powered analytics and automation.
- Willingness to build and maintain shared artifacts like research repositories, design systems, and documentation that outlast individual projects.
- Commitment to evidence-based design, where decisions are grounded in user research, data, and experimentation rather than opinion.
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work and prioritize effectively across discovery, delivery, and strategic initiatives.
Nice to have
- Comfort turning ideas into working front-end prototypes, whether hand-coded or built with AI-assisted tools to validate concepts quickly.
- Fluency using AI as part of your process to accelerate exploration, generate and test concepts faster, support research synthesis, and cut the time between question and answer.
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS platforms or fintech products where security, compliance, and reliability are non-negotiable.
- Experience working with payment products or teams that handle money movement, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of behavioral design or cognitive psychology principles to influence adoption and reduce friction in financial tasks.
