What you'll do
Engineering requirements for component and system designs are defined for roller doors, cargo doors, and automated closure systems to meet vehicle performance targets. Engineering designs and concepts are created and developed to address functionality, safety, and integration needs for commercial vehicle applications. Packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies are performed to verify fit, clearance, and accessibility within vehicle constraints. CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering releases are developed using CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience, or V5 to communicate design intent and specifications. CAE analysis, prototype builds, testing, sourcing, and validation activities are supported to confirm design robustness and manufacturability. Design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues are resolved through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Interface definitions with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers align on delivery expectations. Engineering changes and related documentation are managed to maintain controlled product definitions and traceability. Concept-to-production methods and systematic problem-solving approaches are applied across the project lifecycle.
Requirements
A degree in engineering or a related field is required for this position. At least years of automotive or commercial vehicle engineering experience within the relevant domain is required. CAD experience using CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience, or V5 for design and detailing is required. GD&T and tolerance analysis principles are applied to define interfaces and ensure assembly feasibility. DFMA and serviceability principles are used to support manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance requirements. Effective communication and teamwork coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and partners.
