What you'll do
Define component and system engineering requirements for rear body structures, closures, and interfaces.
Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies to verify fit and function.
Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering releases for production.
Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues through root cause analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, suppliers, and customers on program deliverables.
Manage engineering changes and associated documentation for compliance.
Demonstrate concept-to-production experience in commercial vehicle development.
Requirements
Earn or hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
Accumulate 5 or more years of automotive or commercial vehicle engineering experience.
Maintain 3 or more years of CAD surfacing experience in CATIA 3Dx, 3D Experience, or V5.
Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis methods to meet specifications.
Use DFMA and serviceability principles during design and validation.
Solve problems and perform root cause analysis on design and manufacturing issues.
Communicate effectively and function within cross-functional teams.
Manage engineering changes and related documentation processes.
