About the role
This role develops high reliability analog electronics for natural gas measurement systems. The engineer leads complex design and simulation work while coordinating with firmware and cross functional teams. What you'll do
Design, analyze, and evaluate analog and digital hardware for natural gas flow measurement, focusing on low noise and low power performance. Develop complex models and simulations, then define new technology directions to enhance existing products and guide future solutions. Interface with component suppliers to evaluate parts and vendor strategies while working closely with production, test, support, and supply chain teams. Support firmware developers through development and post production stages to ensure smooth integration and sustainment.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelors degree in an engineering or related field as preferred. Bring a minimum of 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and documented accomplishments. Demonstrate embedded hardware development experience with microcontroller design, implementation, and debugging. Perform hardware design from concept through production, including component selection, testing, prototype build, regulatory and certification approvals, and ongoing support. Apply hands on experience with analog, digital, and electromechanical devices, plus low power electronics design under one watt where preferred. Conduct EMI and EMC compliance testing independently and follow designed for FMEA practices. Use OrCAD for schematic capture and Cadence or Allegro for PCB layout. Produce output job files and fully documented PCBA release packages including schematics, Gerber files, BOMs, test procedures, and special build instructions. Work within Gate model or SCRUM environments and participate in formal reviews covering concept, design, FMEA, EMC, and functional test. Familiarity with flow computers and gas chromatographs is a plus.
