AlphaSights is expanding its Engineering team in Brazil and seeks talented Fullstack Engineers to join this initiative. The selected professionals will own complex problems from start to finish, ensuring top quality for internal and external users. This role operates within a cross-functional circle that includes product managers and designers. The focus is on solving difficult problems with code while maintaining a high standard of work in a performance-driven international setting. Successful candidates will transform ambiguous requirements into concrete solutions for users based in Brazil. This involves designing intuitive user flows on the frontend and structuring robust backend architectures. A key responsibility is organizing services using Kotlin and Postgres while ensuring stability through existing Ruby on Rails components. The role requires establishing rigorous pipelines via CircleCI and Spinnaker to enable frequent releases. Feedback from these deployments will directly shape the next development cycle. The position involves setting up advanced monitoring systems to detect issues early and resolve them before they impact users.

Technology adoption decisions will be guided to balance innovation with delivery risks. A significant portion of the work involves championing AI integration by connecting LLM APIs and developing AI-assisted workflows. These efforts aim to boost both product capabilities and engineering efficiency. Collaboration with product managers and designers ensures alignment with business goals. Mentoring junior colleagues through code reviews and problem-solving sessions is expected within the high-performance international team.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must hold a degree in a STEM field or possess equivalent practical experience demonstrating engineering competence. Multiple years of experience at a similar level are required within mature engineering teams focused on growth. Candidates should provide a proven track record where their impact stands out among peers. Technical expertise is essential, including proficiency in at least one frontend framework, with React being the primary focus. Backend experience must include Kotlin and some Ruby. Familiarity with modern AI technologies is a requirement, specifically the integration of LLM APIs and the creation of AI-assisted workflows. The ideal candidate is highly driven and proactive, capable of overcoming obstacles independently to achieve excellent results. Meticulousness is critical, requiring high standards and obsessive attention to detail in all deliverables. Experience with AI tools that improve engineering efficiency is preferred.

Logistics

This role is a remote position designated exclusively for current Brazilian residents. The location is Brazil, with remote engagement. Compensation for this role is 40,000 USD per year. The tech stack includes React, Kotlin, Postgres, Ruby on Rails, CircleCI, and Spinnaker.
