What you'll do

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend services that are scalable and reliable, ensuring they meet the needs of our users.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to create seamless APIs that facilitate smooth communication between the backend and frontend systems.
• Participate in the design and architecture of new features, contributing your insights to improve system efficiency and functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to identify and resolve issues proactively, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Optimize database queries and data storage solutions to enhance application performance and reduce latency.
• Engage in code reviews to provide constructive feedback to peers and ensure code quality across the team.
• Stay updated on the latest backend technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to improve our existing systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development, preferably with a focus on scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation, ensuring efficient data exchange between services.
• Strong understanding of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing applications.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in the software development field.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello for project management.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies like React or Angular, providing a holistic understanding of full-stack development.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of backend systems.
