What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of the strategic vision for the School of Business, aligning it with the overall mission of Aiu.
- Oversee the academic programs, ensuring they are relevant, rigorous, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Foster a culture of research and scholarship among faculty, encouraging collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Manage the recruitment, development, and evaluation of faculty and staff, promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, alumni, and accreditation bodies, to enhance the school's visibility and reputation.
- Develop and manage the budget for the School of Business, ensuring financial sustainability and effective resource allocation.
- Implement initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success, including mentorship programs and career services.
- Advocate for the School of Business within the university and the broader community, representing its interests and achievements.
- Collaborate with other academic units to promote interdisciplinary programs and initiatives that benefit students and faculty alike.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies, maintaining the highest academic and ethical standards.
- Lead efforts to secure funding and resources for research, scholarships, and program development through grants and partnerships.
- Monitor trends in business education and adapt programs accordingly to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Requirements
- A terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a business school.
- Proven track record of academic leadership, including experience in curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and program accreditation.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing business education in a global context.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation, with a focus on sustainability and growth.
- Ability to inspire and motivate faculty, staff, and students to achieve their full potential.
- Familiarity with current trends in business and management education, including technology integration and online learning.
