Product Manager, Relevance and Personalization
Job description
About the role
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. You will own the roadmap and strategy for Airbnb's core relevance and personalization systems, defining how intelligent matching evolves across the entire guest journey. You will shape the future of discovery by driving natural language query understanding and context-aware experiences that make the platform feel like a travel companion. This role requires you to balance competing objectives such as guest satisfaction, host success, revenue, fairness, and marketplace health in every prioritization decision. You will close the feedback loop for hosts by designing experiments and systems that surface host needs into the matching intelligence. You will partner with ML engineers, applied researchers, and cross-functional teams to ship systems that directly drive bookings and marketplace trust at global scale.
