• Spearhead the development of innovative product features, technical experiments, and intricate system architectures that enhance user experience.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership by influencing key design choices and mentoring engineering teams across different locations.
• Continuously refine and enhance system architecture to elevate software design and engineering practices within the organization.
• Foster and strengthen agile methodologies and scrum practices throughout the engineering department to improve project delivery.
• Collaborate closely with client-side and infrastructure teams to implement effective technical solutions that meet business objectives.
• Monitor and improve code quality, product performance, and overall development workflows to ensure high standards are met.
• Write maintainable and efficient code while supporting team members in achieving exceptional engineering standards.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance scalability and reliability.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the engineering team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing high-performance production applications using JVM technologies such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Demonstrated success in leading technical projects and engineering teams with complete ownership of system architecture.
• Practical experience with data platforms, including SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop, to manage and analyze large datasets.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, enabling effective problem-solving and system optimization.
• Proven ability to enhance team productivity through KPI-driven engineering practices and methodologies.
• Exceptional software architecture skills, with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with diverse teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional data platforms such as Kafka or Aerospike to support real-time data processing needs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure management to enhance system reliability and scalability.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, agile environment, contributing to rapid product development cycles.
• Understanding of DevOps practices to bridge the gap between development and operations teams.
