What you'll do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute functional testing across various platforms and devices to ensure software applications meet specified requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using our bug tracking system, ensuring clear communication of issues to the development team.
• Perform regression testing to verify that existing functionalities remain intact after new features are implemented.
• Participate in the design and execution of automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be captured by standard test cases.
• Review and analyze system specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing feedback on software usability and functionality.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test results and provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and outcomes.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing to contribute to the team's knowledge base.
• Mentor junior QA team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of quality within the team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in functional testing, preferably in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in writing clear and concise test cases and test plans based on functional specifications.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams is a plus.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) to validate backend services.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing to verify data integrity and accuracy.
