What you'll do

• Collaborate with senior data engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ensure efficient data flow across various systems.
• Assist in the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
• Participate in data modeling and database design to optimize storage and retrieval of data.
• Support the implementation of data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
• Document data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new languages as needed.
• Basic understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with ETL tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, particularly in relation to data storage and processing services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and professional growth in the data engineering field.

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
