About the role
Agile Robots is seeking a professional to oversee technical documentation and project workflows at our Munich headquarters. You will bridge the gap between engineering teams and end users by managing the full lifecycle of product manuals, safety documentation, and process governance. In this capacity, you will act as the central authority for all technical content, ensuring that information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with business objectives. You will drive standardization across documentation practices, establishing clear procedures that enhance team efficiency and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly influence product quality and customer satisfaction by providing reliable guidance for installation, operation, and maintenance. You will lead cross-functional collaboration, facilitating communication between engineering, production, and localization teams to maintain document integrity. Ultimately, you will own the structural integrity of our documentation ecosystem, ensuring that every release is supported by clear, compliant, and up-to-date materials.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Configure and administer JIRA and Confluence ecosystems to establish transparent workflows and clear lines of project ownership.
- Architect and maintain the complete lifecycle of product documentation, including hardware manuals, installation guides, datasheets, and technical reports.
- Formulate and enforce documentation strategies that strictly adhere to DIN, ISO, and IEC/IEEE 82079-1 standards.
- Author and refine safety-related content, developing precise hazard warnings and actionable risk mitigation instructions.
- Synchronize closely with engineering and product teams to provide essential support for certification processes and CE marking requirements.
- Implement rigorous version control mechanisms for documentation to ensure perfect alignment with hardware and software release cycles.
- Oversee complex documentation localization and translation workflows to maintain consistency across languages.
- Develop targeted content frameworks tailored to the distinct needs of end users, technicians, and software developers.
- Establish and maintain governance models that define document hierarchies, ownership, and access controls.
- Lead the development of templates and style guides that standardize formatting and terminology across all documentation products.
- Coordinate review cycles with stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and compliance with internal quality benchmarks.
- Analyze workflow inefficiencies and introduce process improvements that reduce documentation debt and accelerate release cycles.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure all documentation meets regional and international compliance requirements.
- Mentor junior documentation specialists on best practices for technical communication and information architecture.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Technical Documentation, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in document or process management within a mechatronic production environment.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in JIRA and Confluence configuration, including dashboards, automation, and custom templates.
- Provide a proven background in technical communication for hardware-software systems or robotics applications.
- Show experience managing SOP releases and ensuring documentation readiness for demanding production environments.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of change management principles, traceability requirements, and formal release procedures.
- Apply advanced PowerPoint skills to create executive-level communication materials and technical presentations.
- Maintain fluency in both Chinese and English, with proficiency in written and spoken communication across both languages.
- Display meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with technical standards.
- Exhibit excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Communicate effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, designers, and quality assurance professionals.
- Show commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to evolving documentation methodologies and tools.
- Understand the importance of version control and configuration management in maintaining document integrity.

- Create developer-focused documentation, including SDKs, APIs, and internal portal content.
