About the role
AfterShip is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to scale our email and lifecycle programs across the B2B customer journey. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of lifecycle campaigns that drive retention, expansion, and advocacy. This role requires you to translate complex product data into compelling narratives that guide customers through their value realization. You will partner closely with the Product team to align messaging with product releases and customer needs. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing programs from initial concept to mature optimization. You will leverage behavioral insights to create highly relevant communications for distinct audience segments. This position demands a balance of creative execution and rigorous analysis to prove impact on business outcomes.

What you'll do
- Architect and deploy automated email journeys that guide users from onboarding to expansion.
- Conduct deep analysis of behavioral and firmographic data to construct high-value audience segments.
- Execute rigorous A/B and multivariate testing frameworks to iteratively improve campaign performance.
- Coordinate with the Product Growth team to design and manage in-app marketing components such as modals and banners.
- Author persuasive email copy and maintain a strategic campaign calendar aligned with business goals.
- Track and report on critical metrics including conversion, open rates, click-through rates, revenue attribution, and pipeline influence.
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards in Google Analytics and Tableau to communicate performance insights.
- Implement and monitor protocols for list hygiene and ensure strict adherence to GDPR, CASL, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
- Document standard operating procedures and establish scalable processes for the lifecycle marketing function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and align on shared objectives.
- Synthesize test results and qualitative feedback to inform future campaign strategies and hypotheses.
- Identify opportunities for growth within existing customer segments through targeted messaging initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve the lifecycle strategy.
- Ensure all campaign assets adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent voice.
Requirements
- Bring 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CRM, email, or lifecycle marketing within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage full-funnel email programs, overseeing execution from initial planning to post-launch analysis.
- Show advanced proficiency with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Iterable, Klaviyo, or Braze.
- Prove strong analytical capabilities with the skill to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable reports.
- Exhibit flexibility in working across multiple time zones, including Asia and Europe, which may require 1-2 sessions outside standard hours.
- Highlight experience with A/B testing and a commitment to hypothesis-driven optimization practices.
- Illustrate familiarity with AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to enhance workflow automation and assist in copy drafting.
- Emphasize the capacity to thrive in an environment where processes are still being defined and ambiguity is prevalent.
- Maintain a meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and compliance standards are met.
- Communicate effectively, translating technical concepts into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
- Display strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
