What you'll do

Conduct detailed pre-flight inspections of the aircraft, reviewing systems, documents, and performance data to confirm readiness.

Calculate and verify weight and balance, fuel requirements, and flight plans to ensure compliance and optimal performance.

Communicate with Air Traffic Control and ground staff using standard phraseology to coordinate pushback, taxi, and takeoff procedures.

Monitor weather conditions, NOTAMs, and flight advisories to adjust plans and maintain safety throughout the flight.

Execute takeoffs and landings under various conditions, maintaining precise control and adherence to Aero procedures.

Manage in-flight systems and monitor aircraft performance, addressing minor issues and escalating as necessary.

Work collaboratively with the Captain and Cabin Crew to maintain coordination and uphold service standards.

Provide clear updates to Guests regarding flight progress, timing, and any changes in a calm and professional manner.

Support post-flight procedures, including aircraft debrief, documentation, and reporting of any irregularities or observations.

Assist in training and mentoring Junior Crew Members, sharing knowledge and helping to build a strong, capable team.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional presence in the cockpit and cabin at all times.

Participate in ongoing learning and drills to keep skills sharp and aligned with evolving operational expectations.

Uphold all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in every phase of flight operations.

Represent Aero in a positive light, demonstrating reliability, respect, and pride in every interaction with Guests and colleagues.

Requirements

Must hold an active Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or be eligible for issuance upon hire.

Must hold a valid First Class Medical Certificate.

Must possess a minimum of 1,500 total flight time hours.

Must hold an Instrument Rating with an airplane category and class rating.

Must have turbine aircraft experience with a minimum of 500 hours in turbine powered aircraft.

Must have 500 hours of Pilot in Command time in turbine aircraft.

Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and meet all FAA and company requirements.

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship at this time.

Must be willing to relocate to Van Nuys, CA and maintain the necessary transportation and housing arrangements.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Practical notes

This role requires availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Overtime may be required during peak operational periods or training events.

Travel is not required for this position as it is based at a single primary location.

Candidates must meet all regulatory and company requirements before beginning operations.

New hires may be required to complete additional training and orientation programs.
