What you'll do

Conduct comprehensive pre-flight assessments of the aircraft, systems, and documents to guarantee operational integrity and safety.

Execute precise flight planning and performance calculations, adapting routes and strategies to optimize efficiency and guest comfort.

Lead the aircraft during all phases of flight, managing automation, manual flying, and emergency procedures with calm authority.

Coordinate with Air Traffic Control, ground support, and cabin crew to maintain a seamless flow of operations and information.

Monitor fuel, weather, and traffic conditions in real-time, making timely decisions to ensure a safe and efficient journey.

Perform vigilant systems monitoring throughout the flight, identifying and addressing any anomalies before they escalate.

Communicate clearly and professionally with the cabin crew to ensure guest needs are met without compromising operational focus.

Maintain strict adherence to all aviation regulations, company procedures, and standard operating protocols.

Conduct thorough post-flight inspections and complete detailed documentation for maintenance and operational records.

Provide constructive feedback during debriefs, sharing insights that drive individual and team improvement.

Uphold the highest level of professionalism in guest interactions, reinforcing the premium, personalized service Aero provides.

Manage cockpit resources effectively, ensuring a balanced workload distribution among crew members.

Demonstrate exceptional judgment and decision-making under pressure, prioritizing safety above all else.

Act as a role model, mentoring junior personnel and fostering a culture of safety and continuous learning.

Requirements

Must hold an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with an Aircraft Type Rating for the specific aircraft operated.

Must possess a valid FAA Second Class Medical Certificate or higher.

Must have a minimum of 1,500 total flight time, with a minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command.

Must have a minimum of 200 hours of turbine flight time.

Must have a minimum of 100 hours of night flight time as Pilot in Command.

Must have a minimum of 50 hours of instrument flight time in the aircraft type.

Must hold a U.S. passport or be eligible for U.S. citizenship.

Must pass a background check, including drug screening and security threat assessment.

Nice to have

Previous experience in a premium aviation or charter environment.

Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics.

Experience with high-performance, long-range aircraft.

Practical notes

This role requires a minimum of 15 hours of monthly flight duty.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Teterboro, New Jersey.

Travel is primarily domestic within the United States, with occasional international positioning flights.

Work authorization to legally work in the United States is required.

All hires are subject to Aero's drug-free workplace policy and may be subject to random testing.

The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.

New hires will be required to complete Aero's proprietary training program.

This position is eligible for Aero's comprehensive benefits package upon completion of the probation period.

The hiring process will include multiple interviews, including practical flight assessments and a final interview with senior leadership.
