Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of practical development experience in contemporary engineering settings.
- At least 2 years of experience in the banking or fintech sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry dynamics.
- Proven track record of technical leadership, including the ability to develop strategies and mentor junior engineers.
- Extensive experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems that are robust and efficient.
- Strong proficiency in Java, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.
- A platform-oriented mindset that emphasizes the creation of adaptable and reusable services.
- Excellent communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams across the globe.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions independently.
- Must possess work authorization in the United States without the need for new visa sponsorship. Note: Visa transfers are permissible, but applications for H-1B CAP are not supported.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards relevant to the fintech industry.
- Previous experience in Agile methodologies and practices.
- Understanding of data security principles and practices in financial applications.

- Salary range: $258,000 to $367,000 per year, in addition to Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
- Hiring timeline: Candidates can expect to receive a response within five business days, with the entire interview process taking approximately four weeks.
- Adyen operates with an office-first approach; therefore, fully remote positions are not available.
