About the role
In this dynamic position, you will engage in direct sales efforts targeting hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to represent A Place for Mom to healthcare professionals and families, facilitating patient referrals and ensuring smooth transitions into senior care. This role emphasizes relationship-building and driving move-ins from your designated accounts, making it essential for success.

What you'll do
- Assist families and professional referral sources in identifying suitable senior care options for urgent discharges from hospitals or skilled nursing facilities.
- Meet monthly targets for families selecting senior care options by generating a consistent flow of qualified patient referrals on a daily basis.
- Oversee a portfolio of existing clients, which includes social workers, case managers, and discharge planners within hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in your designated region.
- Develop and nurture your client accounts to enhance referral volume and strengthen relationships.
- Establish new connections through networking, cold calling, and presentations, while following up on discharge outcomes to showcase the value of your services.
- Educate families about available care options and explain how you, along with a Healthcare Senior Living Advisor, can assist them in the process.
- Collaborate closely with Healthcare Senior Living Advisors to achieve monthly targets for families transitioning into communities or utilizing home care services.
- CRM reports and internal data to effectively manage your sales pipeline and track progress.
- Engage in piloting new initiatives, tests, and processes, such as account scoring or CRM updates, providing constructive feedback for enhancements.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.
- 3-5 years of experience in individual contributor outside sales, demonstrating strong skills in prospecting and lead generation.
- Familiarity with the Senior Living Industry is highly beneficial.
- Previous sales experience within hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is required.
- A proven track record of surpassing sales quotas and collaborating with teams to achieve shared objectives.
- A relationship-driven approach to sales, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Demonstrated capability to present effectively to target customers and handle objections with confidence.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment, showing willingness to embrace new tasks and processes.
- A strong desire to learn and improve, coupled with a competitive spirit.
- Willingness to travel daily to accounts within your assigned territory during the workweek.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and CRM software (Salesforce is preferred).
