What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage robust cyber security solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses in existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor security systems and networks for unusual activity, responding swiftly to incidents to mitigate risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of security protocols, incident reports, and compliance audits.
• Provide expert guidance and support during security audits and assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on security awareness and best practices to foster a culture of security within the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, integrating new knowledge into existing security frameworks.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security or a related field, with a strong focus on project engineering.
• Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar standards.
• In-depth knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated and proactive in addressing security challenges.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud security solutions and frameworks, particularly in AWS or Azure environments.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation of security tasks.
• Previous experience in a government or defense contracting environment is a plus.
• Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning in the context of cyber security.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in using security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning software.
• Familiarity with security incident response tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and security design principles.
• Experience with endpoint protection solutions and data loss prevention technologies.

• Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph, which is a prerequisite for this role.
