What you'll do

Greet customers who visit the parts department and determine their specific needs quickly and professionally

Review customer requests carefully and match them to the correct Hyundai parts and accessories available

Process orders through the dealership management system and confirm pricing details with each customer

Check inventory levels on the shelf and in the warehouse to fulfill customer requests promptly

Coordinate with technicians and service advisors to identify required replacement components for active jobs

Maintain accurate records of all parts transactions and update the inventory database at the end of each day

Handle returns, exchanges, and warranty-related parts claims in accordance with the dealership's established policy guidelines

Assist with receiving and inspecting new parts shipments from suppliers to verify quantities and condition

Keep the parts counter and display areas clean, organized, and presentable for both staff and customers

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty

Follow all safety guidelines and store parts in their designated locations throughout the facility

Communicate order status and availability information to customers through phone calls and in-person conversations

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position without exception

Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related retail environment is strongly expected

Strong working knowledge of Hyundai vehicles and their corresponding parts and accessories is necessary

Ability to confidently use computer systems and dealership management software on a daily basis

Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear, friendly, and professional communication at all times

Comfortable working with inventory management tools and electronic order processing systems in a fast-paced setting

Willingness to work in a dealership environment with varying daily demands and shifting priorities throughout the week

Valid driver's license is required as a condition of employment at this specific location

Aptitude for learning new parts catalogs and vehicle-specific information as Hyundai models and systems evolve

Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, advisors, and sales staff daily

Nice to have

Familiarity with Hyundai parts catalogs and electronic ordering platforms is highly beneficial for this role

Experience using dealership management systems such as CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds is valued by the team

Understanding of basic automotive systems including engines, brakes, and electrical components is considered a strong asset

Previous exposure to warranty claim processing and parts return procedures is considered a helpful advantage

Basic familiarity with Hyundai vehicle models and their common maintenance needs would be a welcomed addition
