About the role
You will serve as the primary technical contact for customers in Connecticut, providing on-site training, experimental design support, and troubleshooting. This role focuses on driving product adoption and ensuring user success through direct engagement and scientific partnership. You will act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and technical support. This position requires delivering on-site training and demonstrations regarding 10x technology and software. You will document and report customer feedback, complaints, and product use cases to internal teams. The role involves partnering with researchers to support their scientific goals and long-term projects. You will troubleshoot issues involving instrument performance, biochemistry, assay design, and data analysis. Additionally, you will assist the sales team at industry events, trade shows, and technical symposiums while contributing to the development of internal support documentation.

What you'll do

Requirements
- Extensive background in genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics.
- Proficiency with NGS workflows and associated data analysis software.
- Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology bench techniques.
- Practical experience with histology, including tissue embedding, sectioning, and processing.
- Excellent presentation, training, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage customer expectations and maintain detailed site records.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Demonstrated capability to translate complex scientific concepts into practical training materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive sample information.
- Comfort working independently and making sound technical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to adhering to established laboratory safety and quality control standards.
- Proven track record of resolving technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the principles underlying sample preparation and sequencing chemistry.
