About the role
You will own the design and end-to-end delivery of critical backend services that power ZoomInfo's Chorus platform. This role places you in charge of architecting scalable distributed systems that process massive volumes of sales conversation data with high reliability. You will collaborate closely with product and data teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that directly influence how sales teams perform. You will be expected to take initiative, challenge existing approaches, and drive innovation across the platform. Your work will have a direct impact on enabling customers to make data-driven decisions at scale. You will mentor and elevate the work of others by sharing best practices and leading by example. You will ensure that the systems you build are secure, performant, and maintainable for the long term. What you'll do
Design, build, and deploy complex distributed systems that handle millions of customer requests per day with high availability.
Build and maintain 3rd-party integrations with major conference providers using SDKs to enable seamless meeting and call capture workflows.
Develop and optimize data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store massive datasets in SQL and NoSQL databases and datastores.
Implement and monitor RESTful APIs that deliver reliable and scalable access to conversation intelligence data for internal and external consumers.
Establish and enforce industry best practices for package management, release cycles, and CI/CD to ensure fast and safe delivery of features.
Lead the technical design and implementation of microservices and distributed systems components as part of the Chorus Platform team.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute on projects that improve product capabilities and customer outcomes.
Troubleshoot complex production issues by analyzing logs, metrics, and traces to drive rapid resolution and system reliability.
Write clean, testable, and maintainable code that adheres to security, performance, and scalability standards.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying technical debt, proposing solutions, and mentoring peers on engineering excellence.
Drive the delivery of customer-facing features that empower sales managers with insights, risk detection, and next-step recommendations.
Partner with data scientists and analysts to ensure that data models and outputs are accurate, timely, and actionable for end users.
Ensure that all services are deployed and operated efficiently in cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
Act as a technical owner for your work, making decisions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
4+ years of professional software development experience in relevant fields.
4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS or GCP platforms.
4+ years of proven experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases and datastores in production environments.
4+ years of strong knowledge and usage of RESTful API standards and design principles.
4+ years of experience with industry best practices for package management and CI/CD pipelines.
4+ years of proven experience in distributed microservices development and deployment.
4+ years of proven experience in distributed systems software design and architecture.
Demonstrated high personal and leadership skills in managing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
BSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship for this position.
Willingness to work from the Bethesda, Maryland location or as a hybrid arrangement as defined in company policy.
Nice to have
Experience building and operating SaaS platforms that serve high-volume enterprise customers.
Familiarity with conversation intelligence or sales technology domains.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations in handling customer data.
