About the role
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript or JavaScript, and APEX for enterprise SaaS applications. You will develop and execute automated test scripts for Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, Service Cloud, and Commerce Cloud applications. You will design comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and automation suites based on business requirements to ensure coverage. You will perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce applications to validate behavior. You will automate REST API testing and validate integrations between Salesforce and external systems to ensure data consistency. You will execute exploratory and manual testing where automation is not applicable to uncover critical issues. You will analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution and improvement. You will integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD to enable rapid releases.

What you'll do

- Design comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and automation suites that align with detailed business requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing across the full suite of Salesforce applications.
- Automate REST API testing and validate integrations between Salesforce and external systems to verify contract compliance.
- Execute exploratory and manual testing scenarios where automation is not feasible to capture nuanced defects.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to ensure defects are resolved efficiently.
- Integrate and optimize automation suites within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
- Develop reusable test utilities, libraries, and framework components to improve reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Solution Architects to define testability requirements and quality gates.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, share knowledge, and promote industry-standard automation best practices across the team.
- Continuously assess and refine testing processes, tooling, and automation coverage to adapt to evolving product complexity.
Requirements
- Bring 5 or more years of hands-on QA Automation experience in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience in Salesforce testing across multiple cloud offerings and complex business workflows.
- Show deep proficiency in Playwright automation using TypeScript or JavaScript for robust and maintainable test suites.
- Exhibit experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch with clear architecture and documentation.
- Display solid understanding of Salesforce business processes and how to validate them through end-to-end testing.
- Prove strong experience with REST API testing using Playwright or Postman to validate integrations and data integrity.
- Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript along with working knowledge of Java or Python to support diverse test scenarios.
- Have hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD to automate test execution.
- Apply solid experience with Git and version control best practices for managing test artifacts and collaboration.
- Exhibit strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills to isolate issues in complex systems.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate well with cross-functional teams to align on quality goals and timelines.
Nice to have
- Gain experience with AI-powered testing tools, Agentic AI, or AI-assisted test automation to enhance test coverage.
- Apply experience with Playwright AI capabilities or self-healing automation solutions to reduce maintenance overhead.
- Understand Salesforce Apex testing to validate business logic and unit test coverage at the code level.
- Have experience with Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) to support Salesforce release and testing workflows.
- Apply Playwright BDD or Cucumber frameworks to define behavior-driven tests with clear specifications.
- Conduct performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner to validate scalability under load.
- Bring experience working in B2B SaaS environments to understand complex sales and operations scenarios.
- Hold Salesforce certifications as an added advantage to demonstrate subject matter expertise.
