What you'll do
- Oversee the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery, ensuring all devices operate according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Track production output and process efficiency metrics regularly, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and ensuring that production targets and quality benchmarks are achieved consistently.
- Assist in managing inventory levels by accurately recording raw materials, components, and finished products within the ERP system, and coordinate material transfers to support production schedules.
- Conduct routine quality inspections on in-process and finished products, verifying that items meet specified standards and documenting inspection results for compliance and audit purposes.
- Address non-conformance issues by investigating root causes, maintaining detailed quality documentation, and supporting corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that incoming materials are verified against purchase orders, inspecting shipments for accuracy and reporting any discrepancies or damages to procurement or quality teams.
- Prepare products for shipment by packaging, labeling, and completing shipping documentation, ensuring all items are correctly prepared for timely delivery to customers or distribution partners.
- Support inventory management activities, including stock counting, cycle counting, and reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records and reduce discrepancies.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, quality, and production, to resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.
- Support additional tasks and projects assigned by the Operations Manager to contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing), logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution, preferably within a technology or hardware environment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 kg safely and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy, especially in using ERP systems and standard office software.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Nice to have
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification, or equivalent process improvement training.
- Experience in light manufacturing, technical product assembly, or kitting processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and managing third-party shipments.
- Basic understanding of quality management systems and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to electronics manufacturing or hardware production.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management and ERP software, especially NetSuite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
