What you'll do

• Execute comprehensive examinations of products and operational workflows using various inspection tools and techniques to assess quality and performance.
• Partner with manufacturing personnel to identify deviations and coordinate the implementation of effective corrective actions.
• Compile and maintain precise documentation of evaluation outcomes, including any discrepancies and the corresponding remediation steps taken.
• Evaluate inspection metrics to uncover patterns and opportunities for enhancement, presenting these insights to leadership for strategic review.
• Facilitate internal quality audits and contribute expert knowledge to the formulation of process optimization strategies.
• Guide colleagues through quality standards and procedural expectations by delivering clear training and practical instruction.
• Work with procurement and supply chain partners to verify that incoming goods conform to strict quality specifications.
• Support the evolution of quality control measures by helping to create, test, and refine new control procedures and policies.
• Monitor the regulatory landscape to ensure that practices remain aligned with current industry standards and legal requirements.
• Promote a proactive mindset toward quality across the organization by encouraging ownership and responsibility among all team members.

Requirements

• Hold a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a quality inspection or assurance capacity, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Demonstrate a thorough grasp of quality control theories, practices, and methodologies that underpin effective assurance programs.
• Show familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulatory frameworks that govern product compliance and safety.
• Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities to assess complex information and draw accurate conclusions.
• Be proficient in the use of inspection instruments and digital software tools dedicated to data collection and analysis.
• Communicate findings and proposals effectively, both in spoken discussions and written reports, to diverse stakeholders.
• Function seamlessly within a collaborative team structure while also taking initiative as a self-directed professional.
• Organize workloads efficiently to balance multiple assignments and competing deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Possess a formal academic background, such as a degree or certification, in quality assurance, engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Maintain eligibility to work legally in Canada, which may involve securing a valid work visa depending on the candidate's origin.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Lean Six Sigma frameworks or other established methodologies for process enhancement.
• In-depth understanding of ISO standards that pertain to quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Background in leading quality teams or supervising inspection activities in a previous role.
• Proficiency in both French and English, which is considered an asset given the Quebec location and the nature of our client base.
• Familiarity with statistical process control techniques to monitor and optimize production performance.
