What you'll do

• Monitor security alerts and incidents, analyzing potential threats to our systems and data.
• Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation steps.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Implement and manage security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
• Provide training and awareness programs for employees to foster a culture of security within the organization.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance our security posture.
• Work with external partners and vendors to ensure that third-party services meet our security requirements.
• Participate in incident response planning and execution, ensuring that the organization is prepared for potential security events.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to security incidents.
• Generate and present reports on security metrics and incidents to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations or a related role.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices, particularly in AWS or Azure environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
• Experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements, such as GDPR or CCPA.
