About the role
You will architect and sustain the core data management infrastructure that underpins Xcimer's engineering innovation. In this capacity, you will own the end to end lifecycle of the Teamcenter platform, ensuring its robustness and scalability. You will act as the primary steward of product data, enforcing rigorous governance that protects critical intellectual property. You will collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to translate complex requirements into stable system configurations. Your work will directly enable the deployment of fusion power plants that address global decarbonization goals. You will troubleshoot intricate technical issues, providing expert-level support to maintain user productivity. You will implement best practices that standardize workflows and improve the reliability of the engineering data ecosystem. You will contribute to the strategic evolution of the digital thread, aligning the platform with the company's rapid execution mission.

What you'll do
Configure and manage the Teamcenter environment to align with Xcimer's engineering and product development processes.
Install and implement Teamcenter software components, ensuring the architecture supports high performance and reliability.
Administer the underlying database and file storage systems to safeguard large CAD datasets and associated metadata.
Develop and maintain robust security protocols, managing user roles, permissions, and access controls for sensitive fusion data.
Perform routine system monitoring, analyzing logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
Coordinate with IT and infrastructure teams to integrate Teamcenter with network, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Lead data migration activities, converting legacy product information into the new environment without loss of integrity.
Document all configurations, procedures, and standards to create comprehensive operational knowledge bases for the team.
Partner with software toolchain owners to optimize workflows, ensuring seamless interoperability with other engineering applications.
Guide internal users through complex system functionalities, delivering training and advanced usage support as needed.
Implement version control strategies that manage design iterations and maintain strict change traceability.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues, diagnosing problems and applying corrective actions to minimize system downtime.
Support the evaluation and selection of new Teamcenter features, assessing their impact on scalability and user experience.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to automate tasks and enhance system efficiency.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
You must have extensive, hands on experience with Siemens Teamcenter software, including versions 10 through 12, demonstrating deep administrative expertise.
You should hold a strong understanding of relational database concepts and practical skills with SQL for querying and managing data structures.
You are required to have a proven track record of managing complex file structures and large binary objects in a product data management context.
You must have experience implementing and administering security models, including user authentication, authorization, and role based access controls.
You should be proficient in scripting and automation, using languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python to extend platform functionality.
You are expected to have excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including active directory integration and system services.
You must have strong communication skills, enabling you to convey technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders effectively.
Nice to have
Experience with CAD tools such as NX or SolidWorks, providing insight into the design engineering workflows that rely on Teamcenter.
Familiarity with high performance computing environments and storage solutions, which are critical for managing the datasets involved in fusion research.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, particularly those that align with regulated or safety critical industries.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure and hybrid deployment models, which could support future scalability for Xcimer's engineering needs.
Experience in manufacturing or energy sectors, where data integrity and compliance are paramount to operational success.
