About the role

You will develop, enhance, and prototype compliance and business processing analytics and tools. You will create new methods for automating compliance functions and improve existing methods. The role involves investigating, integrating, and testing compliance modernization Machine Learning/AI algorithms and researching proof-of-concepts in an RD environment. You will develop models and implement appropriate metrics and monitoring for developed tools, functions, and data flows.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and test new features and capabilities for Apache Accumulo to support large content and metadata repositories.
• Conduct Apache Accumulo training sessions, including hands-on software configuration and programming exercises.
• Develop web-based user interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data and develop web services that provide REST-based APIs to content and metadata repositories.
• Develop algorithms to operate on large volumes of operational metadata using advanced parallel programming techniques for analytics that run effectively on petabyte-scale operational data sets in a secure manner.
• Develop models and implement appropriate metrics and monitoring for tools, functions, and data flows.
• Investigate, integrate, and test compliance modernization Machine Learning/AI algorithms and research proof-of-concepts.
• Work with distributed batch- or stream-processing solutions such as Ray, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Databricks, and cloud-native data-processing services.
• Work with distributed file or object storage systems such as HDFS, Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, Google Cloud Storage, and equivalent technologies.

Requirements

• United States Citizenship and position-appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency-appropriate polygraph).
• Within the last ten years, a minimum of seven years of experience combined programming with Java, C++, or Python.
• Within the last seven years, a minimum of five years of experience designing and developing applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment.
• Within the last three years, a minimum of one year of experience using database technologies such as Apache Accumulo, MongoDB, ScyllaDB, Google Cloud Bigtable, Amazon DynamoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, Postgres, or equivalent technologies.
• Within the last three years, a minimum of one year of experience using distributed batch- or stream-processing solutions such as Ray, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Databricks, cloud-native data-processing services, or equivalent technologies.
• Within the last three years, a minimum of one year of experience using distributed file or object storage systems such as HDFS, Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, Google Cloud Storage, or equivalent technologies.
• Within the last three years, a minimum of one year of experience with requirements analysis and design for one or more object-oriented systems.
• Within the past two years, six months of development experience with Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Computing Services.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; an associate's degree in computer science or related discipline and two years of programming experience or five years of programming experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on MLOps experience, including fine-tuning and operationalizing small ML models.
