Senior Solutions Engineer, GTM Engineering
Job description
About the role
Senior Solutions Engineer, GTM Engineering
This role centers on designing and deploying complex integration initiatives from initial discovery through production deployment. You will own the technical bridge that connects Workstream to the payroll, scheduling, and back-office systems our customers rely on every day. The position demands daily collaboration with enterprise clients to improve retention and ensure successful adoption of our platform. You will translate technical constraints into clear, actionable paths for operations teams, enabling them to manage workflows efficiently.
Workstream serves as an all-in-one HR, payroll, and hiring platform purpose-built for the hourly workforce. Our mission addresses the significant gap in a market representing 2.7 billion hourly workers, who constitute 80% of the global workforce. We serve leading brands across multiple sectors, including Burger King, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, IHOP, KFC, and Culvers. As a high-growth Series B company, we are rapidly expanding our product portfolio with backing from leading venture capital firms, including Founders Fund, BOND, and Coatue.
You will function as a builder with direct customer exposure, responsible for owning integration projects from start to finish. This involves sitting in discovery calls to uncover true customer needs, writing the necessary code, and shepherding the implementation to production. You will manage five to six concurrent projects, working closely with enterprise accounts. Your contributions will have a direct impact on retention and satisfaction for our largest customers.
You are a developer who thrives on communication. You can explain complex data-mapping challenges to a franchise operations lead in a way that is clear and accessible, avoiding unnecessary technical language. You prefer to solve a recurring problem once through automation rather than answering the same inquiry repeatedly. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Lehi, Utah office, requiring three days onsite and two days remote to facilitate close cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily work will involve a diverse set of technical and collaborative duties. You will design and build custom API integrations that connect Workstream to external platforms used by our clients. This includes creating CSV export solutions to facilitate clean data migration between systems. You will develop two-way payroll integration implementations that ensure data accuracy and reliability.
A significant portion of your role will focus on optimizing production integrations. You will refactor legacy connections into scalable patterns, ensuring they perform well for deployments involving platforms such as Teamworx and UKG Pro. You will coordinate closely with the Customer Success team to align rollout schedules and reduce implementation risk.
You will also build custom career site templates that adhere to specific brand guidelines for regional hiring campaigns. Additional responsibilities include creating robust export tools that enable seamless CSV migrations between ADP systems and Workstream records. You will optimize production pipelines to support self-service usage, eliminating the need for manual steps. Finally, you will document handoff procedures meticulously, ensuring clients can maintain integrations long after initial delivery.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must hold demonstrable experience integrating with scheduling systems similar to Workstream, Teamworx, or other enterprise platforms. You should have a proven track record of building API connections to payroll services like ADP or Paychex within production environments. Your expertise must include reading and transforming data models across disparate systems using CSV and structured formats.
You must have managed concurrent projects while consistently maintaining quality standards for enterprise clients. Your communication skills must allow you to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to operations managers without relying on jargon or complex terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with HRIS platforms and compliance-related data structures is a significant advantage. Familiarity with the specific systems named in our official description is essential for success in this position.
