About the role

This position establishes and leads DoorDash's global ESG reporting function. It sets the strategy for disclosures and owns the GHG measurement program. The role serves as the central cross-functional driver for all external ESG reporting. You will translate volatile regulatory landscapes into a coherent, narrative-driven global strategy. You will build the foundational systems that ensure disclosure integrity and audit-readiness over time. This position reduces friction for global partners by creating clear, reusable processes. What you'll do

Convert complex regulatory requirements into a coherent, narrative-driven global strategy by defining the approach for ESG disclosures across the EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia. You will interpret mandatory regulations and voluntary frameworks, translating them into clear positioning and concrete implementation plans.

Design and establish the foundational systems, controls, and data flows that underpin reliable, audit-ready disclosure over time. You will create the structures that make reporting consistent and traceable across business units.

Champion cross-functional collaboration by influencing stakeholders across Legal, Finance, IR, and Operations without direct authority. You will become the go-to person for direction, driving alignment and removing blockers across the business.

Draft regulatory disclosures, internal strategy memos, and senior briefings with equal fluency, calibrating tone and detail to each audience and regulatory context. You will ensure clarity, precision, and consistency in all external and internal communication.

Own the end-to-end GHG measurement program, including data collection, calculation methodology, and validation processes. You will ensure the integrity, completeness, and quality of emissions data used in reporting.

Define and implement reporting processes and tooling to streamline data gathering, analysis, and submission across global teams. You will standardize methods to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency over time.

Lead the interpretation and application of evolving frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, GRI, SASB, Modern Slavery, and CDP within the company's context. You will ensure that disclosures reflect current regulatory and stakeholder expectations.

Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, providing a principled, business-grounded view of ESG commitments. You will advise on where to invest for leadership versus where meeting requirements is the right call, guiding resource allocation and strategic focus.

Build and maintain documentation, policies, and procedural playbooks that institutionalize ESG reporting practices. You will create reusable assets that enable scale and continuity as the organization grows.

Represent DoorDash in relevant external discussions, initiatives, and working groups related to sustainability reporting and regulatory engagement. You will bring back insights that shape internal strategy and positioning.

Requirements

Demonstrate hands-on ownership of major reporting frameworks such as CSRD/ESRS, TCFD, GRI, SASB, Modern Slavery, and/or CDP to show meaningful experience in ESG reporting or sustainability compliance. This experience ensures familiarity with current regulatory and stakeholder expectations.

Show a builder mindset by having created reporting infrastructure or core processes from scratch, not only maintained existing work, and being energized by that kind of initiative. This background supports rapid, independent execution.

Influence stakeholders across Legal, Finance, IR, and Operations without direct authority by acting as a strong cross-functional influencer and becoming the go-to person for direction rather than waiting to be told what to do.
