Wolt is on a mission to enhance local commerce through technology, providing a platform that simplifies delivery services. Since our inception in 2014, we have expanded from restaurant food delivery to offering a wide range of products in over 500 cities across 30 countries. As part of Wolt Market, our grocery delivery service, you will play a key role in ensuring an excellent customer experience. In this role, you will report to the General Manager of Wolt Market Cyprus and focus on optimizing category performance through effective management of product assortment, pricing strategies, promotions, and supplier partnerships. You will be responsible for driving the commercial success of your assigned categories in the Cypriot market, ensuring that they meet both customer expectations and business objectives. This position requires a proactive approach to analyzing market trends and translating them into tangible improvements on the platform. You will be the primary link between the market strategy and the in-store or in-market execution, ensuring alignment across all teams. Your work will directly influence customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining a relevant and high-performing product offering.

What you'll do
- Analyze the performance of assigned categories using key metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for categories, from onboarding new items to optimizing existing ones.
- Develop and execute promotional strategies and pricing adjustments to maximize sales and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure product availability and favorable terms.
- Partner with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to forecast demand and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Work closely with the Content and Marketing teams to craft compelling product descriptions and campaigns that resonate with customers.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with budgetary constraints and commercial policies.
- Evaluate customer feedback and market data to recommend changes that enhance the assortment and improve the shopping experience.
- Identify inefficiencies in current category processes and implement solutions that improve productivity and accuracy.
- Utilize advanced data analytics tools to uncover growth opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to keep the category competitive and attractive.
- Ensure that all commercial activities align with Wolt's overall business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Support the testing of new commercial initiatives and measure their impact on category performance.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the category within the organization, providing insights and guidance to cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Possess 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, Retail, FMCG, or E-commerce.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of supplier relations and the fundamentals of commercial negotiations.
- Exhibit proficient analytical abilities, specifically the capacity to interpret large datasets and convert insights into actionable strategies.
- Show advanced skills in the use of Excel and Google Sheets for data manipulation and reporting.
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Display the capacity to successfully juggle multiple priorities and tasks within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Be fluent in the English language, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication across teams.
- Possess proficiency in the Greek language to engage effectively with local suppliers and partners in Cyprus.
- Have prior experience working in grocery retail or E-commerce, which is considered a significant advantage for this role.
- Be legally eligible to work and reside in Cyprus without requiring additional sponsorship.
- Hold a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Show a high level of integrity and ownership in all professional interactions and deliverables.
